The happiest of (almost) Valentine’s Days to you, my dear readers. It wouldn’t be a stretch to say you’re some of my favorite people. You have given me so much joy by showing up here to peek behind the curtain of my life, gather around a computer screen, and see what recipe I’m making. I genuinely thank you from the bottom of my heart.
So, here is my suggestion to you. While you run around town today, picking up last minute Valentine’s Day details, no doubt, you should also stop by a Walgreens and get yourself some DOVE® Chocolate Bars in Milk Chocolate (or dark because you can’t go wrong there). You really can’t go wrong shopping at Walgreens when you need a quick pick-up. And then, fashion a beautiful Valentine’s Day Charcuterie Board for Two. Choose Pleasure® with DOVE® Chocolate Bars, available at your local Walgreens today.
DOVE® Chocolate is a Valentine’s Day staple for me. I love nibbling on a few squares while I light citrus-perfumed candles and set the table. Now, these beautiful DOVE® Chocolate Bars are just screaming to be atop a wood board.
I love the idea of chocolate welcoming itself onto a spread of charcuterie. There is truly nothing better. This is how I build my board around this silky chocolate:
1. Because this chocolate is creamy and silky, the cheese should be, too. Stick to Havarti, Brie, and other creamy, mild cheeses. I might save the goat cheese and gorgonzola for another night.
2. Build it with the colors of the season. Beautiful chips that have been flavored with beets are a great way to up the ante.
3. Fruit. There is nothing more romantic and nothing more perfect to pair with chocolate…hello strawberries, grapes, raspberries, and the like.
4. As for nuts, I added some candied pecans to tie in the sweet flavors. Other nuts that are naturally sweet are Pistachio, Macadamia, and Marcona almonds.
If you’d like to replicate what I did for my Chocolate-inspired Charcuterie board, you can check out the recipe card below.
Happy Valentines Day to you, my loves. My sincere hope is that you spend quality time with the ones you can’t live without. Your dog, cat, parent, friend, husband, wife, or spouse. Enjoy it to the fullest.
