There’s just something about basil. It has such a sweet-fresh taste that brings a brightness to almost anything I whip up. Then, when it’s settled with the creamy avocado? It’s like the food gods aligned.
For more crunch and texture, I’ve added pine nuts to this sauce, but it’s great without and smooth too. The pine nut version sits nicely on top of a summer bruschetta. Imagine the possibilities because they are endless. And you guessed it, it’s another 5 minute sauce. In no time you have a topping that will breathe new life into the most basic of entrées.

Ingredients
2 cups fresh basil, stems included
1 avocado
1/2 cup plain greek yogurt
1 tablespoon honey
pinch of salt
Instructions
Place all ingredients into a food processor or vitamix and blend until creamy!
