“Thank you Room & Board for gifting me this beautiful table and chairs. All thoughts and opinions are my own”
I said it was going to happen, didn’t I? It was my mission this summer to find a set of grown-up table and chairs. Thanks to Room & Board, my manifested dream has come true.
I can just imagine the years we are going to spend at this very table, eating food, washing it down with pinot noir and finishing a well-rounded meal with a hot cup of coffee. The conversations that will happen around its corners, the drinks spilled, the hand slaps, the tablecloths, the centerpieces, the craft projects, the scooching of chairs, the morning coffees, the heads buried, the holiday cards, and all.
That’s why, for me, it’s the most important piece of furniture in my home. To invest in a staple that will outlast time and soak up all the celebrations. And, it truly took me long enough, didn’t it?
In walks Room & Board with its high-quality, modern meets mid-century vibes. Truly, my kind of vibes. Their showroom in Portland helped me immensely with making the final decision. Once I could touch, feel and see the items in real life, I knew what I wanted.
I needed a table that would be multifunctional since I do the majority of my shooting on it. But, I also needed it to match the flow of the room and fit into a small space while still having enough seating for dinner parties.
THE TABLE:
I chose the Linden Table (72”w x 36”d x 29”h) with a Marbled White Quartz Composite Top and Walnut Base. It’s a solid piece of furniture that is both practical and stunning. Think: easy to clean with a classic style. But, it’s also, just sort of beautiful, ya know?
The Composite Top is also environmentally friendly. I’ve honestly never seen a composite top look this natural and beautiful. Since I’ll be using this table for the majority of my photography, I needed something that’s easily cleanable. Real marble stains super easily so this was a natural decision for me.

THE CHAIRS:
The Soren Chair in Walnut. I mean, where do I begin, really? This was a total emotional decision. Such a classic mid-century meets farm house design while still maintaining functionality. It’s really all about these chairs! They’re stunning, sturdy, and are insanely comfortable. The back and arms sit pretty low so you don’t feel confined but they still have support so if you want to stretch out post-dinner, you can.
Another great part of these chairs is that they transition really well from a formal dining room to extra seating in the living room if needed. This was a huge plus for me since we only have a sectional couch for seating.
We also opted for these insanely beautiful Soren Chair Cushions for extra padding as well as protection. The leather is really durable and is supposed to get better with age.
I like having the padding separate so we can remove if needed. The Soren Chair also has a built-in seat cushion if that’s more your speed.

I’m looking forward to sharing many recipes on this very table with all of you. Thank you for being such a great supportive community and being a part of this wild, crazy, ride with me.
