1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
flaked sea salt for topping
Set the oven to 350 degrees.
Cream the butter, peanut butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla together until creamy. Add the egg and mix on low for about 15-20 seconds.
Add the flour, then sprinkle in the baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix until evenly combined. Fold in 1 1/2 cups of the chocolate chips.
Scoop dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Use large cookie scoop or an ice cream scoop. Flatten the cookies with your fingers until they are a little over a half-inch thick. Top the cookies with the rest of the chocolate chips.
Bake for 18-20 minutes. Top with flaked sea salt as soon as they come out of the oven. Let cool on the cookie sheet for about 5 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
