It’s time to get basic. I mean… er… bring it back to the basics. I’m talking pumpkin spice. I’m talkin’ the hot coffee and cold mornings cure. This homemade pumpkin spice creamer is just what is needed to fill out your Fall list of “things to make.” With so many benefits you will feel super accomplished and all things extraordinary. (Not basic at all!)
Pro number 1 for making your own creamer: You know exactly, and I mean EXACTLY what is going into it. I actually take my coffee black. I love it. I’m not sure how this happened since I am kind of a sweet tooth but I love my coffee just the way it comes out. In fact, I actually dislike coffee when there is a sweet creamer in it. (I won’t name any brands). But, every once in a while, I’ll pick up some half and half so I can have it for an afternoon cup or for the imminent arrival of dinner guests. Of course, I am that annoying person at the grocery store who is standing right in front of what you need, but she is too busy reading the ingredients to notice. Sorry guys, just push me out of the way. Any who, even half and half has extra ingredients in it sometimes! It should be HALF whole milk and HALF cream. I know, I know…. sounds crazy doesn’t it? All this to prove my point: you know exactly what is in you creamer.
Pro number 2 for making your own creamer: You sound pretty cool to all other people. This is one way to assert your dominance over all of your friends. You make your own creamer… they buy it from the store. How archaic. How inauthentic.
Pro number 3 for making your own creamer: Um…. You have homemade pumpkin creamer in your fridge.
Pro number 4 for making your own creamer: It doesn’t leave that weird tin-y/astringent/chemically after taste. Gross. That is probably pro number one for me and reason number one million why I hate store bought creamer. What is that taste and how does it come about? Maybe the fact that it’s been sitting on the shelf of WINCO for forever because some crazy lady is blocking it from being purchased because she is reading all the ingredients in every half and half carton. That could be it.
Pro number 5 for making your own creamer: Really by now I can’t believe I still have to convince you. I feel like you probably got the point before I even tried to convince you. So maybe if I keep writing you won’t notice that I actually don’t have a point because by now you have most likely glazed over and are now proceeding to the pictures.
Also…. I made a GIF! Keep scrolling and you will see my handiwork. I’m absolutely loving it! MUST MAKE MORE GIFS.
Pro number one for making your own GIFS… 😉
