Everything Bagel Polish Dog Bites

It’s the season of tiny little snacks that can sit on a coffee table while the game plays in the background. We need some Super Bowl snacks. While I’m not the foremost expert on the NFL, I do keep up enough to enjoy the festivities. Enough, at the very least, to not be mansplained at. I think I deserve that right.

But first, how are we Gentle January-ing? I hope we’re snuggled in a very warm sweatshirt and drinking an impossibly delicious hot beverage. I’ve worked from bed and stocked up on bagged salad so I dirty the least amount of dishes. I’ll be making a pot roast tonight and slipping into the squishiest socks before playing a movie. I’m doing January right, guys.

So, these little guys are really very good. I’ve made them for every big game. They bring a solid amount of luck as well as flavor into your perspective nights. Serve them with plenty of sweet ketchup and tart mustard. Double dip if you must, and you really must.

The deal is we’re keeping it very easy here. Buy some frozen puff pastry and definitely get some polish dogs from Costco. I guess it’s okay if they’re not from Costco, but is there any other polish dog really, if it’s not from Costco? We’ll just need pre-packaged Everything But the Bagel seasoning. If you make your own, then I’m very, very, proud of you. I buy mine prepared because I can.

  • The first step is to take a thawed layer of puff pastry, open the edges, roll it out slightly, then cut it in half going across the folded marks.
  • Then, we roll one polish dog inside the puff pastry. When you’ve reached the end, brush some egg wash onto the edge to help it stick together and stay closed.
  • Brush the rolled dog with additional egg wash on the top and sides.
  • Generously sprinkle with Everything But the Bagel seasoning, generously.
  • Cut into 1-inch sections and place onto a lined baking sheet.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes in a 400 degree oven.

It’s really that simple. Barely any cleanup. And, if somehow there are any Everything But the Bagel Polish Dog Bites leftover, warm them back up in the Air Fryer for 5 minutes. You won’t regret it.
